Website Accessibility
Accessibility options have been developed and can be accessed by clicking this icon:
A panel will open up allowing you to change certain options on the page, such as: Font Size, Font type and Background colour. Other options include underlining or highlighting all clickable links, a high contrast mode and the ability to remove all animations from objects.
Resizing text
If the text is too small (or too big) for you to comfortably read then you can increase or decrease it in the Accessibility Options panel by clicking the A- (for smaller fonts) or A+ (for larger fonts).
Alternatively, instructions are given for the latest versions of major browsers below:
• From the Page menu choose Text Size and choose the size you want. OR
• Alternatively you can hold down the ctrl key and press the + key to increase the text size. Use the ctrl key with the – (minus) key to reduce the text size
• From the View menu choose Zoom. Select the appropriate option from the zoom menu. OR
• Hold down the ctrl key and press the + key to increase the text size. Use the ctrl key with the – (minus) key to reduce the text size.
Internet Explorer
• From the Page menu choose Text Size and choose the size you want. OR
• Alternatively you can hold down the ctrl key and press the + key to increase the text size. Use the ctrl key with the – (minus) key to reduce the text size
Firefox
• From the View menu choose Zoom. Select the appropriate option from the zoom menu. OR
• Hold down the ctrl key and press the + key to increase the text size. Use the ctrl key with the – (minus) key to reduce the text size.
Opera
• From the View menu choose Zoom. Select the appropriate option from the zoom menu. OR
• Use the + key to increase the text size and the – minus key to reduce it.
Google Chrome
• Hold down the ctrl key and press the + key to increase the text size. Use the ctrl key with the – (minus) key to reduce the text size.
Safari
• From the View menu Select either Make Text Bigger or Make text smaller. OR
• Use the Command key and + to increase text size. Use the Command key with – (minus) to reduce text size.
Changing the colour scheme
Certain colour schemes can be set with the Accessibility Options panel, colour schemes have been preset and can be chosen by clicking the relevant primary colour of your choosing. If you wish to reset this, please click the ‘Reset all options’ button located on the Accessibility Options panel. You can also enabled High Contrast Mode, which will make the backgrounds black and the text white. (please note: using this mode with the none default colour scheme will give unexpected results.)
