Project Description

Discover a world of entertainment at the stunning art deco theatre that’s been centre stage in Newark for 100 years…

From breath-taking ballet to captivating drama; fantastic children’s shows to hilarious star-name comedy; brilliant live music to fascinating talks; and of course the sparkling spectacular of the annual pantomime, there’s something for everyone at the town’s theatrical heart.

Built in 1920 by local businesswoman Emily Blagg, the Palace is a beautiful art deco theatre with 600 seats split over two levels, eight exclusive boxes and dedicated spaces for wheelchair users.

Theatre lovers can make the most of their trip by visiting the Palace’s very own Nineteen20 Café-Bar, which is open every day for delicious coffees and a bite to eat and for a great variety of drinks and snacks before and during your show.
