Experience a wealth of aviation history, featuring an extensive array of aircraft and exhibits…
Located on a 16-acre section of the former World War Two airfield RAF Winthorpe, Newark Air Museum showcases a diverse collection of aircraft and cockpit sections.
As one of the UK’s largest volunteer-managed aviation museums, enthusiasts can fully immerse themselves in the history of aviation, touring the mant aeroplanes, helicopters, aero engines and exhibits. With the majority of attractions being housed in hangars and under covered display areas, it’s the perfect place for a visit whatever the weather.
Visitors can enjoy a break at the museum’s cafe before taking a look around the impressive shop – described by regular shoppers as the ‘best specialist aviation outlet in the Midlands.’
The museum welcomes group and educational visitors and organises a range of special event days, including the ever-popular Cockpit Fest, throughout the year.
